Financial Reporting Officer

We are looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst for one of our banking clients. The team he/she will work with is responsible for the production, control and analysis of external and internal financial reports covering the bank's solo and consolidated scope according to IFRS and/or Belgian GAAP standards. It also covers liquidity and solvency reporting.
- Analysis, consolidation and synthesis of the performance of the client and its subsidiaries;
- Financial projections of consolidated profitability, solvency, liquidity and funding plan
- Stress tests and simulations showing the impacts of diverse scenarios on these key metrics.
- Reporting on those aspects to the Senior Management of the bank, the regulators, the Works Council, the rating agencies, the press…
- Monitor, analyze, interpret and comment the key financial performances (profitability, solvency, balance sheet and liquidity) and the underlying business evolutions for the businesses and the Controlled Perimeter.
- Contribute to the forward looking exercises (budget, multi-year plans, budgetary stress tests, specific simulations) on the evolution of the key financial performances and indicators.
- Contribute to the production of the quarterly analytical reports (comprehensive and executive versions) about these performances and indicators, showing the evolutions compared to previous year(s) and to budget.
Profile
- Fluent in Dutch, French and English
- Master Degree in business engineer, economy, mathematics …
- +5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting
Technical experience
- Good knowledge of accounting and IFRS standards
- Familiar with the banking regulations, including specifically solvency and liquidity
- Experience in consolidation is a plus
Business experience
- Experience of 3-4 years in an audit firm or in a similar function of a financial institution
- Strong interest for business performance management & financial analysis
- Delivering internal and external reports
- Experience in external/internal audit is a plus
Soft skills
- Work autonomously and propose improvements in existing processes and reports
- Flexible, organised and can deal with deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proactive, teamplayer, motivated and dynamic
