Business Analyst Risk & Credit

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive key initiatives within the Risk & Credits domain, enhancing risk infrastructure and supporting regulatory compliance efforts.
The aim of the project is to improve the Risk Infrastructure: further consolidate risk calculations in a single calculator in order to better enable model implementation, integration and to reduce costs through simplification and reuse.
Main tasks as business analyst:
• translate business requirements from the Risk department in detailed specifications
• functional analysis: translate business requirements in system requirements
• technical analysis: translate business requirements in pseudo-code
• implement algorithms used by Risk in C# (FACT)
• develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) as part of report development
• use SQL queries (SQL Server, Oracle) for test & analysis purposes document data transformation (ETL) rules
Profile
• At least 6 years of experience in functional analysis and development within large-scale IT environments
• Fluent in English, and fluent/good in either Dutch or French (spoken and written)
• Strong proficiency in C# and SQL; able to translate business requirements into system specifications and pseudo-code
• Skilled in data/process analysis, requirements documentation, and functional/technical testing
• Solid understanding of credit risk and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel II/III) is preferred
• Experience working in complex business environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Additional experience with XML/SOAP, MQ Series, and programming capabilities is an asset
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
